In 1918, the Zurich Sanatorium Foundation for Lung Patients took over the “Kurhaus Clavadel” from Fida Gadmer.

The “Villa Livonia” children’s home was inaugurated in 1924.

In 1926 a stable was built on the Clavadeler Alp - the alp belongs to the clinic.

The new surgical clinic was built in 1932, the architect was Rudolf Gaberel.

In 1938 a reconstruction and simultaneous renovation took place.

Between 1956 and 1985 the building was repeatedly expanded and renovated.

In 1961 it was converted into a multi-purpose clinic.

From 1993 to 2003 there was a renovation and a total renovation.

In 2018, the 100th anniversary of the “Zurich Rehabilitation Center Clavadel” was celebrated.

About the special features of the Zurich rehabilitation centers | The Davos Clinic with 113 beds includes musculoskeletal, internal medicine-oncology and pulmonary rehabilitation as well as psychosomatics.

In recent years, the clinic has made a special name for itself throughout Switzerland with its specialist expertise in the areas of wound treatment and rehabilitation after liver transplants.
